Swedish hiphop history
Sveriges Radio (Swedish national radio) P3/Metropol : Creative producer and presenter of music the show ”Kärleksattacken” Swedens largest radio show on Swedish hip hop. On air in 15 seasons (7,5 years).
Starting 1999 I worked at national public service TV station Sveriges Television. Example of shows I worked on: music show ”Pop i Fokus” and ”Kvällstoppen” (with Per Sinding-Larsen and Fredrik Lindström). I studied sociology, english and law at the University of Stockholm and then studioed at JMK (School of Journalism). However, I never completed my master’s degree because I was head hunted by the swedish national radio to host their shows. I have also written for the paper Metro, Gaffa and City, rewied music in morning TV show ”Nyhetsmorgon” (TV4) on a monthly basis, and was a music columnist för 2 years for Göteborgs Posten (second largest daily paper in Sweden).
For those who are interested in the intersection of music and politics. My BA thesis at School Of Journalism JMK was about the representation ideologies in mainstream hiphop, its representations of the ”black man” and how those can affect life chanses for African Americans. » You can download my paper here (in swedish only)
